A roof replacement is a big project and requires some preparation. When the roofing company arrives, your house becomes a work zone. It can be very dangerous or detrimental in multiple ways if you don’t prepare for the construction ahead. So, here are a few tips on how to prepare your house for a roof replacement.

Prepare for Your Roof Replacement

Inform Your Kids

A roof replacement can be an exciting thing to watch, so you kids might want to sit up close and observe. They shouldn’t get too close, though, so you need to discuss with them before the roofers arrive about safety measures.

Think About Your Pets

Many pets are disturbed by loud noises. It can give them anxiety, so you should think about this before the roofers arrive. If you don’t want your pet to be stressed or anxious throughout the process, consider putting them somewhere in your home where noise doesn’t travel well or have someone pet sit for you until the roofers complete their work.

Move Your Vehicles Before the Replacement

A lot happens when roofers replace your roof, and there is a lot of equipment. If your vehicle is too close to the house, it’s vulnerable to damage from equipment falling, nails getting in your tires, or any other accidents that might occur during the project, so you must move your vehicles for the duration of the replacement.
